The work also contemplates the modernization of the carpentry and total renovation of the existing luminaires by new equipment with LED technology (light emitting diode, light emitting diodes), light regulators and presence detectors in corridors and common areas. It is also planned to replace the current boiler by two that will use biomass as fuel and the construction of a silo for the supply of this much more ecological and efficient material. With all these works,” reports the Xunta, “a significant improvement in the energy efficiency conditions of the facilities will be achieved, with savings in the consumption of non-renewable energy estimated at 81% with respect to the current situation, in addition to a notable increase in thermal comfort.
