The Spanish Wind Energy Association (AEE) will convene its annual meeting on 20 June, which will be the biggest wind energy event of the year. The event will be inaugurated by the Secretary of State for Energy, José Domínguez Abascal, and will also be attended by the President of the European Wind Industry Association (WindEurope), Giles Dickson. The motto of this edition is “A reflection for the future”, a subject on which Dickson will speak; the general director of Economy and Statistics of the Bank of Spain, Óscar Arce; the director of the Industry area of Microsoft Ibérica, José María de la Fuente; and the general director of Institutional Relations, Sustainability and Brand of Acciona, Joaquín Mollinedo.
Inauguration (by the Secretary of State for Energy, José Domínguez Abascal, and the President of the ESA, Rocío Sicre), A reflection for the future (with Dickson and company), the delivery of the Eolo 2019 Awards (story, photography, innovation and Rural Integration), and finally, the traditional Cocktail-Colofon of an event that this year will begin at seven o’clock in the afternoon (19.00 hours) next Thursday, June 20.
It is the Annual Wind Encounter, the most significant sectoral event of the year. The event is on this occasion sponsored by the company Acciona and will count -they explain from AEE- “with the main personalities of the Administration, representatives of political parties, entities and organisms of the sector, press and, above all, with the companies of the wind and renewable sector”.
The Association has proposed an agile program in which, to the speeches of the inauguration, will follow a polyhedral table of debate in which four professional profiles of first level, profiles in addition very diverse, will offer complementary visions on the future of the wind power. After the reflection, will take place the delivery of the Eolo 2019 Awards in their different categories: Photography, Microcuentos, Innovation and the Eolo Award for Rural Integration of Wind. And finally, the event will close with the traditional Cocktail-Colophon, “an ideal networking space -they point out from the AEE- for the different agents of the energy sector”.
Established in 2002, the Wind Energy Business Association has among its members (approximately 200) developers, manufacturers of wind turbines and components, national and regional associations, organizations linked to the sector, lawyers and financial and insurance entities, among others.
