International conference in the field of Enel Green Power
Energy from the sea: the 13th European Wave and Tidal Energy Conference (Ewtec) arrives in Naples for the first time in Italy. Ewtec, organized by Conisma, the national inter-university consortium for marine sciences, with the patronage of Vanvitelli University, in collaboration with Enel Green Power, the Enel Group’s business line dedicated to renewable energy, will take place until September 6. “Where the sea is, there is energy, which can be much more constant than other forms of renewable energy”, recalls Giovanni Tula, Head of Innovation and Sustainability at Enel Green Power.
Among others, two systems were illustrated in Naples.
The first is Dimemo, developed in Naples, at the Molo San Vincenzo, the ancient dam above all. The other is the Rewec, under construction in the port of Salerno, where the project has already been delivered and the work is ready to go. The same project is also present in the port of Civitavecchia, in Lazio, and in that of Roccella Ionica, in Calabria.
